  Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The Valley Stream Fire Department is one of the largest and most elite volunteer fire departments on Long Island. The men and women of the department take great pride and are extremely dedicated members of our community. We provide the best fire and medical services to the local residents and businesses 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The training of these men and women both medically and firematically is state of the art. Maintaining such a high level of performance requires each of our volunteer firefighters to go through many hours of vigorous training each year. In addition, because we are a volunteer fire department, we help in saving the taxpayers of Valley Stream millions of dollars each year.

Drastic changes in our world have forced the upgrade and the advancement of fire and medical training, skills, and equipment in order to be prepared to handle the many events that threaten our society today. This unfortunately does not come cheap. We continue to make strides to keep up with the technology and training of this constantly changing world, but we can't do it without you. Past generosity has given this great department the opportunity to maintain its excellence in skill and firefighting and medical services. Your continued support and generosity is imperative in keeping our department one of the best around.

The men and women of the Valley Stream Fire Department have always been there in a moments notice to serve the community whenever we are needed. Now we are counting on you.
